Williams have announced that their season launch for the upcoming 2024 Formula One season will take place in New York on the 5th of February.

The move to reveal their teams’ colours for next seasons in United States, reflects the ever growing presence of FOM and teams in USA over the last few years, which includes the the country hosting 3 GP in Austin, Miami and Las Vegas. Last year, Red Bull and Alpha Tauri carried out their launches at the Big Apple to attract more fans

Due to the timing of the event, launch is expected to not showcase the new FW42, as it can be assumed that the new Williams car will be shown during the first pre season testing in Bahrain on the 21st of February. On the same day, the now Stake F1 Team – formerly known as Sauber Motorsport, are due to reaveal their colours for next season.

Williams enter 2024 with the same line-up from last year. Alexander Albon is entering his third year with the Grove team, continuing the ever improvement partnership that saw last year Alexander finishing 13th in the championship. His teammate will once again be Logan Sargeant, who managed to improve through the season and became the first American in 30 years to score points in Formula One since Michael Andretti scored his only podium in the Italian Grand Prix in 1993

The new FW42 is the first car under James Vowles’ leadership, as he joined the team shortly after the completion of last years’ car. Williams finished 7th in the World Constructors’ championship, after holding off a late charge by Alpha Tauri, thus making it’s best finish in the standings for Williams since 2017.
