Thai driver Varunchit Wattanathanakun won a thrilling Toyota Yaris OMR race at the 3.74-kilometre-long Bangsaen Street Circuit. Asian Motorsport reviews the key highlights and incidents from the race.

The race began with a standing start at 11:55 AM, with 23 cars lining up on the grid. Wattanathanakun in car #89 started from pole position, followed by Alexander Van Mourik in car #12 and Brendan Paul Antony in car #47.

Wattanathanakun maintained the lead from the start, setting consistent lap times and gradually extending his advantage. On lap 3, Panithan Rakpaibulsombut (#36) moved up to third position, overtaking Paul Antony and Srithana Mitaree (#66).

Rakpaibulsombut set the fastest lap of the race, clocking a 2:18.707 on lap five as he moved closer to the leaders. He would eventually finish in third place behind Van Mourik and Wattanathanakun.

Race control issued several penalties during the race. Car #57 received a drive-through penalty for causing a collision at Turn 2, which was later converted to a 30-second time penalty. Car #40 was given a 10-second time penalty for a false start. An incident at Turn 2-3 was also under investigation during the race.

Wattanathanakun won the race with a 1.085 second lead over Van Mourik in second. Rakpaibulsombut finished in third, 20.528 seconds behind the leader.
