Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand’s practice sessions have gotten underway at the 3.74-kilometre Bangsaen Street Circuit. With four categories taking place, this weekend’s action promises to be exciting.

This weekend sees races in the Toyota Hilux Revo One Make Race (OMR), the Toyota Yaris OMR, the Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport OMR, and the Toyota Yaris Ativ Lady OMR.

The latter two categories take place in the same sessions as one another, with the Yaris Ativ Lady ranked as a separate class to the Corolla Altis GR Sport OMR.

Today’s practice sessions marked the first day on track for these categories, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting weekend of racing.

Panithan Rakpaibulsombut was the man to beat in the first Toyota Yaris OMR practice session. He clocked a time of 02:21.278 on his sixth lap around the Bangsaen Street Circuit, 0.749s clear of Xplus Motorsport’s Saharat Kuanamon in second.

Brendan Paul Anthony, who drives the #47 for Superclub Racing Team, finished in third with a time of 02:22.051, 0.773 seconds behind the leader and a further 0.024 seconds behind Kuanamon.

Srithana Mitatree was the fastest driver in the second Toyota Yaris OMR practice session. The Car Lified Car Wash by VG driver set a 02:19.439 lap time on his seventh lap, 0.561 seconds ahead of second-placed Varunchit Wattanathanakun.

Brendan Paul Anthony finished in third once again, improving to a 02:20.175 lap time. The Superclub Racing Team driver was 0.736 seconds behind Mitatree and a further 0.175 seconds back from Wattanathanakun.

Competition was fierce in the first official practice session for the Toyota Hilux Revo OMR. Arunpong Sirit led the field, posting a best lap time of 02:19.151 over seven laps of the Bangsaen Street Circuit.

Hot on his heels was Mekkaradkeeta Kalantananda, who set a best time of 02:19.398, 0.247s behind the leader. Nirut Sutcharit secured the third spot with a time of 02:19.738.

Parpol Chuenwichit came out on top in the second Toyota Hilux Revo OMR practice session. The Nexter GG Racing driver set a time of 02:17.720 onn his third lap of the Bangsaen Street Circuit, 1.514 seconds clear of second-placed privateer Mekkaradkeeta Kalantananda.

Nexzter Racing Team by Vanguard driver Arunpong Sririt secured third place with a time of 02:19.709, 0.475 seconds behind Kalantananda and 1.989 seconds behind the session leader.

Phanakot Asadthorn toppped the session in his Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport OMR with a best lap time of 02:04.633. Close behind were Kentaro Chiba, with a time of 02:04.735, and Tayaphol Kongsuwan, with a time of 02:04.923.

In the Toyota Yaris Ativ Lady OMR category, the fastest driver was Sitanun Pikulkaijom with a lap time of 2:23.442. She was followed by Savitree Kwangkaew and Siripakorn Yeanyon, posting times of 2:26.276 and 2:29.105 respectively.

The second combined practice session for the Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport OMR and Toyota Yaris Ativ Lady OMR classes saw the top two drivers separated by 0.063 seconds. Phanathkot Asdathorn, driving the #51 for Lin Motorsport Club, set the session’s fastest time of 02:04.030, whilst second-placed 411 Garage by Eakie driver Tayaphol Kongsuwan clocked a 02:04.093.

Third-placed driver Rotor Thongchua, competing for Superclub Racing Team, was further behind the top two fastest drivers. He set a time of 02:05.019, 0.989 seconds back from Kongsuwan.

Sitanun Pikulkajorn set the fastest time in the Toyota Yaris Ativ Lady OMR class once again, setting a 02:22.802 lap time. Second-placed Nicha Viraporn was 1.519 seconds behind her, with third-placed driver Natthawalun Sansuk a further 0.271 seconds adrift.
