The historic streets of Macau are set to witness an electrifying showdown as the 2023 edition of the Macau Guia Race, hosting the final round of the Kumho TCR World Tour season, unfolds. This prestigious event marks the culmination of a triumphant season for the TCR World Tour, a series that has traversed continents, including Europe, South America, and Australia, before reaching its thrilling climax in Macao.

A stellar lineup of drivers, including four former Macau Guia Race champions, will grace this iconic event. Leading the charge is Rob Huff, a name synonymous with Macau glory, boasting the record for the most Guia Race victories. He will be joined by another race winner, Frédéric Vervisch, in the Audi Sport Team Comtoyou squad, adding to the team’s formidable lineup of second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS cars.

The Cyan Racing Lynk & Co outfit, a dominant force in Macau, brings a squad of champions, including China’s Ma Qing Hua, Uruguay’s Santiago Urrutia, Thed Björk, the 2017 World Touring Car Championship title holder, and Yann Ehrlacher, a double WTCR champion currently in contention for the TCR World Tour title.

BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse intensifies the competition with a three-car assault, featuring the experienced Norbert Michelisz, a Macau Guia Race winner in 2010, and last year’s WTCR champion, Mikel Azcona. An unnamed third driver will complete their lineup, promising a formidable presence on the track.

The new-for-2023 Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR will also make its mark, with Nestor Girolami and Esteban Guerrieri, both Macau Guia Race winners, adding to the excitement. TCR stalwarts Pepe Oriola and Niels Langeveld, along with Australian Ben Bargwanna in a Peugeot 308 TCR, further elevate the competition.

Adding a unique twist, the top eight drivers from the TCR Asia Challenge Race 2 on November 12 will secure their spots in this prestigious event, setting the stage for an unforgettable battle on the streets of Macau.
