Taylor Barnard secured his fourth pole position of the season in Qualifying 1 to get P1 in Race 1. Rookie driver Tuukka Taponen achieved his third pole position in Qualifying 2, putting him at the front of the grid for Race 3.


Qualifying 1

PHM AIX driver Barnard put in a 1:50.323 to put him at the front of the grid for today’s race.

Zachary David continued his blistering pace to round out the front row with a 1:50.460. The R-ace GP driver showed his newfound pace earlier today when he topped the timesheets in Free Practice.


R-ace GP’s Taponen and Evans GP’s Costa Toparis complete the second row, with a 1:50.483 and a 1:50.541, respectively.


Mumbai Falcons teammates James Wharton and Ugo Ugochukwu claimed P5 and P6. Wharton put in a 1:50.552, while Ugochukwu did a 1:50.565.


PHM AIX’s Brando Badoer, Pinnacle Motorsport’s Alexander Abkhazava, Sainteloc Racing’s Theophile Nael, and Mumbai Falcons’ Rafael Camara complete the rest of the top ten.


Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, racing for PHM AIX did not qualify after failing to put in a time that was 110% of pole position, putting him at the back of the grid for today’s race.


Qualifying 2

Taponen claimed the top spot for Race 3 with a 1:49.493. The Ferrari Academy driver comfortably broke into the 1:49s, with a 0.299 gap to P2.


Wharton completes the front row with a 1:49.792, only 0.097 seconds ahead of David in P3. David put in a 1:49.889.


The top four drivers were the only in the 1:49, with Barnard rounding out the second row alongside David with a 1:49.944.


Ugochukwu and Toparis secured P5 and P6 with a 1:50.008 and 1:50.169, respectively. Toparis has the opportunity in both races to score both his and Evans GP’s first championship points of the season.
