The Ferrari Challenge expands its horizons with the introduction of a new series that will debut in the southern hemisphere in 2025: the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia.

This new regional championship, with its calendar to be announced in the coming months, will join the already extensive offerings of international series in Europe and North America, as well as national series in the UK and Japan.

For over thirty years, the Ferrari Challenge has been a benchmark for drivers taking their first steps into the world of GT racing, as well as for gentleman drivers seeking spectacular and enjoyable races. The event format will mirror that of other Ferrari championships, featuring 30-minute races plus one lap, alongside numerous track sessions including testing, free practice, and qualifying.

“We are thrilled to bring this championship to life, a project our team has been working on for a long time,” commented Antonello Coletta, Global Head of Ferrari Endurance and Corse Clienti. “The introduction of the Australasia series is part of a well-defined strategy that first saw the creation of the UK national series, followed by the highly successful Japan series.”

“The growth of the Ferrari Challenge in recent years has been significant, and with the impetus provided by the new 296 Challenge, participation numbers have exceeded our most optimistic expectations, as evidenced by the early season races,” stated Andrea Mladosic, Head of Ferrari Challenge and Corso Pilota. “Interest from markets in the region and numerous requests from sporting clients led us to explore the possibility of creating this series, and achieving this represents a result of which we are very proud.”

The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia promises to be a compelling addition to the Ferrari racing portfolio, offering a new platform for both aspiring and seasoned drivers to compete in one of the most prestigious single-make series globally. Further details, including the race calendar and venues, will be disclosed shortly.
