PREMA’s Doriane Pin inherited the win of Race 1 after post-race penalties demoted Mumbai Falcons’ Kean Nakamura-Berta to P5. Pin started on pole but lost the lead to Nakamura-Berta after a slow start.

Mumbai Falcons’ Freddie Slater tried a move down the inside into the first corner but found Yas Heat’s Keanu Al Azhari, making contact and taking both of the drivers out of the race. The incident brought out the safety car.

With just over 20 minutes left in the race, the battles for positions got underway. HITECH’s Gabriel Stilp and Mumbai Falcons’ Dion Gowda fought for P6, with Gowda coming out successfully ahead of Stilp.

Sainteloc Racing’s Maxi Restrepo and PHM AIX’s Everett Stack collided in a battle at the final chicane, bringing out the second safety car of the race.

Racing resumed with less than 3 laps to go, and Pin got to pressuring Nakamura-Berta to reclaim her lead but failed to make the move. A post-race penalty due to a jump-start added 5 seconds onto Nakamura-Berta’s race time, leaving him in P5 and Pin to inherit the win.

The penalty meant that Slater reclaimed the lead of the championship.

The final podium saw Pin on top, with her PREMA teammate Rashid Al Dhaheri and Mumbai Falcons’ Alex Powell in P2 and P3.
