After a rain-filled previous round at Spa, the Euroformula Open Championship heads to the Hungaroring for the fourth round of the season. Asian Motorsport previews the weekend before the racing starts.

Round three of the Euroformula Open season saw Motopark driver Michael Shin finish on the podium twice, achieving a second and a third place finish in races two and three.

His teammate Gerrard Xie, on a one-off appearance, had a difficult start to the weekend, but managed to win race three after leading from start to finish.

Asian drivers and where they stand

South Korea’s Michael Shin currently sits fifth in the standings, with a win to his name, from the Hockenheim round.

Hong Kong’s Gerrard Xie stands eighth in the standings after his one-off round at Spa-Francorchamps.
