Round two of the championship at the Red Bull Ring saw Vietnamese driver Owen Tangavelou take victory in the first race of the weekend having started on pole and keeping the lead throughout the race, finishing ahead of his MP Motorsport teammates Bruno del Pino and Emerson Fittipaldi Jr and achieving the fastest lap of the race to inch closer to points leader Javier Sagrera.

Race two of the weekend saw Singaporean driver Christian Ho start on pole, but would fall behind the MP Motorsport drivers including Tangavelou to finish fourth, with Tangavelou finishing in third.

This weekend at Portimao will contain three races, the latter of which was added to make up for the cancelled second race at Spa-Francorchamps due to adverse weather conditions.
