The season finale of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series in Vallelunga saw DW Evans GT overcome initial setbacks to win the Pro-Am championship.

In the first qualifying round, Dan Wells achieved a third-place start for the team’s Lamborghini Osaka car, but a decision by the race stewards later moved them to the end of the grid. Oscar Lee, in the second qualifying session, secured a sixth-place start for the final race of the season.

Starting from sixteenth on the grid in Race 1 due to a penalty, Wells advanced through the field in the first race. He overtook nine cars on the first lap and reached third place by the pit window. Oscar Lee, taking over, incurred a stop-and-go penalty for a pitstop infringement. Despite this, he finished second in the Pro-Am class and fifth overall.

Lee began the second race strongly, gaining a position to go fifth before becoming one of the first drivers to make an early pit stop. Wells improved their position after the driver change, finishing second after the race and securing the team’s eighth Pro-Am class win of the season.

DW Evans GT is planning for the upcoming season of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, intending to expand their participation by entering multiple cars in different classes.
