Blackjack Racing is gearing up for its participation in the second round of the China Endurance Championship (CEC), set to take place from June 28 to 30 at the Qinhuangdao Shougang International Circuit. The team will field a Ligier JS P3 (LMP3) with seasoned racer Zheng Wancheng as one of the drivers.

Zheng Wancheng, a veteran of the CEC, China GT Championship, TCR China, TCR Asia Series, and FIA Chinese Formula 4 Championship, brings extensive experience and a competitive edge to the team. His expertise will be crucial as Blackjack Racing makes its debut in the LMP3 category of the CEC.

Joining Zheng is his racing trainee, who will be making his racing debut. This young driver has undergone an intensive training program with Formula Renault 2.0 and is focused on delivering a flawless performance amid the high standards and fierce competition of the championship.

The Ligier JS P3, revealed during the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours week and chosen for the 2017 and 2018 LMP3 China series, is powered by a 5-litre Nissan V8 engine. Known for its driver comfort, reliability, and performance, the Ligier JS P3 may have a lower top speed compared to its rivals in the LMP3 class but boasts an advantage in cornering.

For Blackjack Racing, this will be their first foray into the LMP3 category. However, their sister team, Asia Racing Team, previously ran the PTRS outfit to the FRD LMP3 Series title in 2018, bringing valuable experience and insights to Blackjack Racing’s current campaign.

The race weekend kicks off with a one-hour Free Practice session followed by a 20-minute Qualifying session on Friday. The schedule continues with a one-hour sprint race on Saturday and culminates in the two-and-a-half-hour main race, set to start at 14:30 local time on Sunday.

With a combination of veteran experience and fresh talent, Blackjack Racing is poised to make a strong impression in the upcoming round of the China Endurance Championship.
