As the excitement builds for Round 2 of the 2024 UAE F4 Championship, drivers eagerly shift gears to the renowned GP configuration of the Yas Marina Circuit, a contrast to the corkscrew layout of Round 1.

The GP configuration, familiar to fans of the annual Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, boasts a 1.2-kilometer straight, 21 challenging turns, and an overall length of 5.554 kilometres. This iconic layout sets the stage for thrilling battles and strategic manoeuvres, promising an exhilarating weekend for both drivers and fans.

Adding to the spectacle, the F4 races will unfold alongside the highly-anticipated 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi, creating an unmissable weekend for motorsport enthusiasts.

Freddie Slater, the Mumbai Falcons driver, leads the drivers’ standings with 52 points, demonstrating consistency and skill in the previous round. Claiming P2 in both qualifying sessions and securing a win in Race 3 alongside a podium finish in Race 1, Slater’s performance sets a high bar for the competition.

His teammate, Kean Nakamura-Berta, sits in second place following a dominant victory in the opening race of the season, finishing over 5.6 seconds ahead of P2. The Japanese-British driver’s resilience in the face of challenging qualifying sessions and impressive race performances positions him as a strong contender.

Yas Heat’s Keanu Al Azhari and HITECH’s Deagen Fairclough share the third spot in the standings, each holding 36 points, while PHM AIX Racing’s Nikita Bedrin closely follows with 33 points after an impressive win in Race 2.

As the drivers prepare to tackle the challenging GP configuration, the stage is set for another thrilling chapter in the 2024 UAE F4 Championship, with Freddie Slater aiming to extend his championship lead in the pursuit of glory.
